Bertrand Vogel, Canada This is my 1986 K75 with over 200000 kms. The unusual accessory is the Sprint fairing. I bought this bike used and don`t have any information on the manufacturer. This fairing is well fitted for the K75, and is very efficient.

Gerhard Grieser, Germany K100RS 4V Bj. 90. I purchased my "Baby" in February, 2002 in a quite bad condition with about 50,600 mls. It was parked outside in the rain for the last four years. After a complete check (all oils and liquids, wires, cam chain tensioner etc.) it is quite pretty again. Now the mileage is 56,250 and still running strong. Fuel consumption is about 5,1 l/100 km . I´m gonna keep the bike for a lifetime.

Thomas Benz, Nigeria I like to introduce my 2nd K75RT: I found it inside a barracks in Lagos, light blue, Chassis No.:0228988K75RT, 5000km, original Metzteler Tyres, not available in Nigeria, a few scratches on the body. A fascinating motorbike. Of course it was not in running condition, presumably for many years. It is hair-raising what nigerian mechanics did to this poor motorbike. With lots of spareparts, brought from Germany in the couse of one year she is now running once again like a turbine over african roads.

Matthias Schaubel, Germany This is my flying brick. The standard version was registered 1986, actually, the mileage is 43,800. The first owner was the actor Rainer Hunold (“Dr. Sommerfeld”). I purchased the bike in june, 1999 with approx. 31,200 mls from the second owner. The colour was red, with big windscreen and Sebring exhaust (both is for sale now!). In 2000, the bike was repainted in black; an Schurgers fairing and a comfort seat were added. Actually, I customize it as a naked bike. I will never sell my bike !

Manfred und Marion Mayr, Germany Increased power and extraordinary style, that´s what we planned for our motorcycle with sidecar. We purchased the Street Jet-sidecar from Theo Däschlein. The entry was modificated by Jürgen Meierle from the “Schöne Linie” brand. An Recaro seat was added to make the seat position more comfortable. Volkmar Prietz from MOTEK designed the auxiliary frame for the bike.Other features are Smart type wheels with single disk brakes, a light weight single seat, sport foot rests and a Sebring exhaust, so the empty weight is only 323 kg. The sidecar bike is easy to handle due to it´s narrow construction (wheel to wheel width is only 1,22m).
To continue the joy of motorcycle riding, we purchased a K100 from 10/83 with the clumsy stock design. This one was customized and the weight was reduced by 10 kg.

Teruo (“Terry”) Matsuki, Japan Please put my '94 K11RS with approx. 52,800 mls on it. As you can see, I have a Motoco single seat installed which may interest you. This Japanese made single seat is well designed and holds a lot more stuff in the tail trunk than the original rear compartment.

Siegfried Hiller, Germany I bought my used K1in 2000 and sold my three years old K1200 for it. I realized that the K1 is the better bike in my opinion. It has got the lower seat position, better fairing, is easier to handle and absolutely pretty. I haven´t changed my mind until today. I felt in love with my bike, so I repainted and revised it, using only stock parts. The K1 was registered in June, 1991. It´s equipped with ABS, heat grips, fuel gauge, thermometer and four way flashers. The counter reads 30,200 mls at the moment.

Thomas Muche, Germany May I introduce my K75S? Model 88´, purchased July, 2002 with nearly 22,400 mls from first owner. Strictly original.

Eric Eason, Japan This K75 retro started life as a K75S before being written off in an accident. The forks and guard have been swapped with my K100RS to provide sportier forks on the K100RS and longer travel suspension for mountain roads on the K75 retro. Tank has been stripped back to bare alloy and headlight/instruments come from an old 50cc Suzuki scooter. Chrome bars wider than "S" bars but don't rise as much as "C" bars.

Andin, Italy This is a picture of my bike: Pathfinder.I own it since July 2001 (the counter was 52.000; today it's 66.300 and counting...). Registered for the first time in 1991. Fully original with hard bags and top case (this one only for longer trips: my wife likes it for the confort and safety feeling it gives).Tires: Michelin Macadam 100X on rear wheel and Michelin Pilot Road at the front. Gas consumtion: about 5,5 lt./100 km. I do the normal maintenance by my self.

Peter Grans, Germany I´d like to present my bike as well: it´s a K75 RT, produced 4.93 which had a mileage of 25,300 when I purchased it. The previous owner was the ADAC car club who used it as a service bike. I stripped the bike for a new painting as I don´t like the white/yellow ADAC design. Since 2000, when I bought my bike, I rode 5,500 mls.

Reiner Mell, Germany This is my K75 streetfighter bike... Attention: this bike has been stolen during August 2002.

Norbert Kaul, Germany I purchased the K75 in 2001 as a former police bike with 24,700mls. Since this day, I rode only flat twins. After a build-up, the mileage is now 30,500. The bike has nice features, such as ABS, catalytic converter, 4-way-flashers, crash bars, dual horn and hand protectors. I like the bike and the triple sound. Fuel consumption (Premium) is about 36mpg.

Peter Rüth, Germany K 1100 LT -based modified bike, equipped with genuine parts. Painting is mandarine orange with blue wheels. Fairing from K75 C, mirrors K 1200 RS, engine spoiler K 100 RS, foot rest assembly K 75/100, wheels and tyres K 1100 RS. I´m going to add the K 100 type cooler housing. I styled the cockpit myself, using the R1100 S instruments, the stock fuel gauge and thermometer which where integrated in a carbone housing, including the gear display. Some facts: registered 03/1992, neither catalytic converter nor ABS, 240 kg, original 7,400mls. Tyres front 120/70ZR17, rear 160/60ZR18 (Bridgestone BT 56F/54R). The engine wasn´t modified. Heat grips, touring boxes.

Armin Gosch, Germany K 100 RS 16 V, registered 2/90, frame no.6407120K100RS. Bought 1995 with 18,500mls, by now the mileage is 57,500. Formerly, the bike was white with a blue seat, now it´s blue with black seat. A catalytic converter was retrofitted. After a crash in 1998, the bike was repaired (fairing, fork and frame). The shaft drive failed after 46,300mls.

Aad and Silvia van Orden, Netherlands BMW K100 RT 1986, 68,000 mls, re-imported from England (Police bike)

Roberto Bencina, Germany In 1998, I purchased my K100 RS from a friend of mine. The speedo reads only 26,500mls. I´m not shure about the mileage as I´m already owner number eight...The painting wasn´t good at this time, and a K1100 fairing was mounted. Meanwhile, the bike is running well and I won´t sell it again as my wife and me feel very comfortable with it. The counter reads 32,700mls by now. Last winter, we did a repainting.

Michael Reyntjens, Belgium I bought my K75 S from a good friend of mine which purchased a ´93 model. The bike was imported from Germany. Three years ago, it went 20,000mls. Today, the mileage is 40,000 an the bike is still running like new. I´ll never sell my bike. It´s unbelievable that BMW decided to discontinue this fine bike. Here in Belgium, policemen use to buy their old official bikes for private purposes when they get new ones.

Jens-Uwe Kischkel, Germany This is the first picture of my new K1200 which I own since 14 days. Im not only proud of my bike but also of my registration plate (HS-K1200) which I wanted to show you and which people use to talk about...

Andreas Berg, Germany This is a picture of my "K"(the brick).Approximately 86,500mls under all weather conditions. The colour is matt black.

Hermann-J. Zimmermann, Germany I purchased my K1100 a few years ago, it was registered 3.94 It is my best tourer ever, this is for shure, although it went already 112,000mls. There were a few problems such as a faulty ignition pickup which I replaced last year. Apart from this, only maintenance parts were necessary. This is really a tourer for the fun and I hope it will last some time. .

Matthias Sander, Germany K100 RS '85 model (registered 87). I own this bike since '93, actually the mileage is 35,800. During the years, I changed a few things: Sebring silencer; dark screen; single seat; steel brake pipes; Wuedo brake disks made of grey cast iron and an adjustable White Power suspension; Bridgestone BT 45 tyres.

Andreas Breuer, Germany I bought my K75 two years ago as a wreck. There was not much left but rust and dirt. Now, after two years of polishing, maintenance and sweat, the bike is in a pretty shape again. The model year is 1987. I like the Pichler fairing which is quite special.

Marcel Abuja, Germany This is a picture of my K75c; produced in 85. I bought it three months ago with 17,300 mls. I was asked for some helping hands in order to repair it and sell the bike afterwards. Now that the work is done I purchased it. By now, I rode only singles like my beloved XT 500. Now the K75 is my commuter, and I love to use the K every day. The actual mileage is 20,000 and I will keep the K75 as a collector´s bike. Both, the XT 500 and the K75, have got character.

Armin Kleinmann, Germany My K100RS was registered 07/1985. The engine was built in week 14/1984 and I purchased the bike in April, 2002 with 32,700mls. There was only one field left in the registration form...Apart from the special painting which was done by the previous owner, the “K” is equipped with hard bags, topcase, engine spoiler, White Power suspension, three spoke-wheels and Sebring exhaust.

Peter Scheller, Germany K100 RS16, built in 1992, I purchased it when it was four years old with 15,400mls. Actually, it went 46,000mls. Until now, I rode it the whole year as a commuter. This caused corrosion of the engine housing and brake disc pitting. From now on, I´ve got a season registration plate and ride the bike just for fun. I try to do the maintenance on my own, except electrical work. By now, I had to fix the fork seals, clutch cable, clutch, oil pump seal, ABS pickup, rear brake calliper, side stand switch and a cracking at the exhaust which could be welded. The valve clearance didn´t need any adjustment. I use a K&N air filter, the fuel consumption is about 5,2 litres/100 km, the best tyres are Bridgestone BT54, which lasts 7,400mls (front) and 9250mls (rear). I´m going to keep this bike for a long time !

Gerhard Neubeck, Germany I am owner of a K75 RT since three years. My lady is manufactured in 1990, went 65,000mls and is a real great bike. I travel not only the vicinity but also Luxembourg, Sweden or Danmark. My lady is in company with `aunt´ R27.

Bernhard Riegel, Germany K 100 RS, 5/87, about 60.000mls (hard to judge, the speedo was replaced two times, now I´ve got LT instruments). Formerly, the colour has been red metallic. At least three previous owners. I purchased it after the last owner crashed the bike. I worked one year on it, trying to replace all destroyed parts by used ones. I did the painting myself (well, I´m glad that you can´t tell by the picture ;-) To my brother-in-law I owe that the bike is on the road again since one year. Since this time, I am an enthusiastic brick rider :-)

Karl Heinz Kaufmann, Germany My K 75 S was registered 1991 and has three previous owners. I purchased it in 2001 with about 10,000mls. The bike is equipped with ABS, 12V socket, four-way-flashers and hard bags. After servicing, I rode only 1900mls, but I am totally satisfied with my bike.

Dirk Michaelsen, Germany My K100-Basic was registered 23.05.86 (Frame no. 9040K100, 36,400 mls) I am the 4th owner. It is equipped with hard bags, heat grips, four-way-flashers, 12V socket, theft alert, C type fairing and crash bars. Previously, I owned a Yamaha XJ 900 (´84 model, 67,000mls). Until now, I´m not disappointed. My K100 had some problems: Speedo failure (bad soldering, I fixed it myself), ignition pickup, oil pump leakage

Ulrich Raupach, Germany This is a picture of my K100. I purchased it two years ago. First registration was 04/1985 25,300mls. The fairing was manufactured by Bernhard Schmotte, Manching. Type: K-R 1 Like the other riders, I am very happy with my K100.

Matthias Sack, Germany BMW K 100RS '86 model, one previous owner, 38,300 mls, frame no. 0084627

Ralph Bachschuster, Germany I noticed your webpage a short time before. This caused that I´ve looked for a K100 RS -and found my dreambike. White with blue seat, equipped with hard bags, Polo topcase on a Givi E181 rack and Metzeler ME Z2 tyres. The bike is from March, 1990 with 66,000 mls. I´ll visit the website frequently, especially for solving problems -which, as I hope, won´t be necessary.

Christian Lindstedt, Germany My K100 has been registred on April 30th, 1985. In 1990, a sidecar was retrofitted. I bought it 2000, the clutch wasn´t working and the fairing broken, so I paid only € 3070. I am totally satisfied with my K, the bike will be mine for a lifetime. :-)

Markus Degenhart, Germany My K100 was registred on July 11th, 1983 (pre-stock bike ?), frame no. 0000049K100. Further details: 53,000mls, BMW windshield, hard bags, heat grips, 12V socket and luggage rack (not yet mounted). I bought the bike from my father-in-law who wasn´t interested in motorcycles anymore. For the time beeing, I´ve got another bike, a Honda CX 500C which had an accident before I purchased it. But I prefer the K100, so I´d like to get rid of the Honda.

P. Weinmann, Germany K 75S `86 with `96 model 3-spoke wheels, 28,400 mls.

Stephan Mankopf, Germany BMW K100 RS 16V, produced 1990, excellent condition, one previous owner, bought with 26,500mls, 31,500mls by now, BMW hard bags.

Uwe Quint, Germany My K100RS was purchased 09/85, frame no. 83675, it is equipped with hard bags and topcase. Apart from Koni rear suspension and additional instruments it is original. The bike is in a medium condition (well, it needs a repainting)

Frank Burek, Germany I purchased my K75 basic (`87 model) in 1999 with about 7,400 mls. It was retrofitted with a “C”-type fairing and a “S”-type engine spoiler. The BMW lowered seat and the Koni rear suspension are not yet mounted when I took this picture.

Thomas Schneider, Germany Day of purchase 7.10.1983 Frame no. 0001191K100 (is this no. 191 or 1191 of all ?) It´s equipped with digital clock, four-way flashers, 12V socket and hard bags with mountings and luggage rack. A non-BMW windshield is mounted, but I´m going to remove it soon as I don´t like it. The mileage is above 60,500 mls, no oil consumption measurable.

Frank Gerke, Germany BMW K100 ´84 model, Frame no. 00006724 This bike was re-imported from Belgium. K&N air filters, Micron handlebars, Baumeister sport foot rests “RS2”, rear mudguard is self-made, Sebring exhaust, fuel tank polished (hard job !) and Wagner seat -well, I think that´s all...

Alexander Breig , New Zealand K75S '93 model; 36,500 mls, the previous owner used it two years to travel Australia after purchasing it new. Thereafter. the bike sat unridden for some time. The bike is equipped with hard bags and top case.

Guenther Rottmaier, Germany this K100 RS is mine since 1984, 37,000 mls, black metallic, hard bags, spoiler, sport foot rests (by BMW), Sebring exhaust, theft alert.

Wolfgang Fischer, Germany I bought it 1994 as a used bike (`89 model) with only 18,500 mls. All modifications are made by the previous owner. This K bike attracted my attention at the first look and I guess it is a nice custom-style even after all those years. Meanwhile the bike has made 57,500 mls and is still reliable. It is equipped with a small K75 C fairing, the engine spoiler fits very discreet into the bike´s style. A higher handlebar with heat grips leads to the desired comfort. Four-way flasher and hard bags are completing the equipment, and a metallic brown painting makes the bike individual. Apart from the Sebring exhaust, all parts are BMW accessoires, so I ask myself why the K100 wasn´t built by BMW like this one, as all accessoires were stock parts.

Ed Mostard, Netherlands K100, no. 00001652 K100, 43,200 mls. No oil consumption (0,01/1000km), new painting. With Baumeister foot rests, hard bags “City” and “Touring”, Topcase, small and large windshield.

David Meeler, USA Here is a photo of my 1988 K75-S. I bought it in Sept. 2000 with only 16,000 miles. Frame No. 0151505.Unfortunately, the low mileage means it sat unridden for some time, and the mechanics recently discovered a slight rust-leak in the gas tank. With new tanks costing over $1,300 US, I'll replace it with a used tank, so I'm not sure what the bike will look like after that.

Reimund Worst, Germany K100RT, `86model, 73,800 mls, no oil consumption, comfort seat, heat grips, large fairing screen, shape 2-.
