How to operate this discussion board

• You may read the threads as a guest. However, it is necessary to register yourself to be allowed to write. To do so, click the “Register” button, choose a nickname and fill in the required details. Please be sure to insert your real name and mailadress. Both will not be displayed to other members unless you choose to do so. Any fake account with false or missing details will be deleted!
   
• Be sure to enter a valid mail address as it will be used to send a confirmation mail to you. This mail, which will be send immediately, contains a registration link. This is to confirm that your mail address exists and is used by the one who is trying to register. Click on the link in order to complete the registration. After this step, you are a registered member of the discussion board.
   
• It is possible to show a picture of you next to your threads using the “Avatar-URL”. It is important that your Avatar do not exceed 100x100 pixel/72dpi. A larger picture causes an improper forum layout. As the picture has to be issued within the WWW, you might (use “username.jpg” as filename). In this case fill in the following “Avatar-URL”: http://www.flyingbrick.de/avatar/username.jpg (replacing username with YOUR username, of course !). Be sure to avoid capital letters; otherwise to picture will not be displayed!
   
• To enter the board, click “Login” and fill in the username and password. Be sure to have the “Remember me” field marked  , otherwise you will be disconnected after some time of inactivity (in some cases, even while you are writing).
   
• It is necessary to activate cookies and Java Script to avoid malfunction.
   
• You can send and receive personal messages to and from other members using the “Private Message” function even if the mailadress of the member is hidden. The message will be shown automatically when the member is entering the discussion board.
