The BMW K series at the Internet

K75 - K100 - K1 - K1100 - K1200

Never before was there such a radical upheaval in the history of BMW motorcycles as in 1983 when BMW presented the K100 series of motorcycles. This motorcycle has such a great advantage over other bikes that even now, 18 years later, no one can believe that a “Youngtimer” indeed. Considering this, the proud owner of a K100 has two bikes in one: a modern and a classic motorcycle.

This website is dedicated to those who never doubted the future of BMW motorcycles. We owe them one of the world´s best motorcycles – not perfect, but considered to be exceptional as only a few other bikes are.

There´s a very special dedication of this site to

Josef Fritzenwenger (on the left)
died 3rd of September, 1988 who turned the engine sideways
and
Stefan Pachernegg (on the right).
He made the K100 reliable and died on the 20th of February, 1987.

Here is some information about the english part of www. flyingbrick .de:

As you may know by the web address, www. flyingbrick .de is a German website, and English is not my native language. Previously only those took advantage of this site were able to speak the German. So I decided to translate some of this into English. I’m sure that there are a lot of mistakes left, but I hope you will be able to pick up some useful information. Now, it’s your turn to make me aware of those mistakes. I would like to get rid of them, but I need your help to do so. Together, we may produce one of those websites that could be useful to the K-riders all over the world. In the year 2000, Hanover (which is only a few kilometers away from my hometown) was host of the World Expo. I was very glad to meet people from many countries that I’ve never heard of and never been to. If there are only 10% of these countries represented in this personal homepage, my job has been done well in my opinion. So please, feel free to contact me and let me know that you are out there. I would be very proud to hear something about you and your bike.
