Does that mean, you will have to trash the bike, or can you collect the money (bike value) and fix it yourself? How is that handled in GB? :shock:

Then I hope, the salvage value is close to zero :)
In Germany the restoration of the previus state can cost up to 20% of the previous bike value. If the damage i.e. the restoration is above that..then its bike value less salvage value...
If you have mainly body parts damaged, you should be able to get well off with the money, some used parts and a little do-it-yourself :thumbup:

The salvage value is £125, which will be taken off of the market value and I get the rest and I keep the bike.

First over 100mile ride this morning, compered to the orig fairing-lots of still air around you, some buffeting of my crash helmet, either had to duck right down or sit up( abit cilly-ice on seat at 0630) very stable when passing trucks and vans-much better than the old fairing.
Tatty k11 on ebay-tempted to fit one to that!
