K100 rs runs rough, help?

    My 1986 K100 RS runs really ragged at low rpm's or around town. Out on the open highway it seems to run OK unless you close the throttle, then the engine will completely shut down for 4-5 seconds then come back on with a few good backfires, I had a spare crank sensor, no difference, all battery cables clean and tight, fuel pressure off the delivery rail seems ok at 36 psi?? Any help will gratefully appreciated, thanks!

    did you ever change all the rubber equipment off the maschine.
    Take a spray with brakecleaner and spray with running motor over all the Rubber.
    Iff then the revolution per minute goes strong high, you will better change all rubbergoods.
    Include the tube coming in the middle under the airbox out of the motor and is going into the airbox. They are very often hardened and brocken so the motorbecomes falseair.
    Otherwise it can be that the rubbercups at the throttle valve are to old.


    The best way you can go is: change all the rubber goods in one action.
