hard cases - what type of plastic?

    hello all - I did a search here but didn't find the answer to this, I'm trying to weld up some broken 1st Generation cases on my 1987 K75S and it would help to know what kind of plastic they are.


    they seem like ABS, but honestly I really don't know.


    anyone?

    Dear bob,


    i think the case is made of ABS-compound. You can test it with a litte span in a flame.
    If lightet ABS-compound is burning with a yello flame also outside of the flame with black reek.
