fuel gauges hand is all over the place

i have just noticed something that worries me.
up to about 120kph everything is ok.
then around 140kph - 5krpm fuel gauges hand is all over the place.
whipping from left to right.
anyone had simmilar problem or knows the solution?
i bet pezi knows which resistor to replace....

Check the 4-pin connector that joins the fuel gauge wiring to the harness wiring (near the gauge, not under the tank). The female side of this connector can get loose with age and wear causing just the symptoms you describe.

very unlikely if you ask me. i feel it is a common problem
known by electrical specialists.
