Why K75 pistons?

k75 pistons give higher compression ratio. - more torque - more power. hence the big torque difference in our bikes.
im glad that both our bikes have the same slight valley around 5000rpm. it means mine isnt faulty.

@ray: you can see the little additional "hill" on the k75 piston, the K100 piston is flat.

K-72/2 ( 1989 and later ) have piston and rod combinations that weigh 30 grams less than the diesel engine sized pieces in their predecessors, and in our K-100's. The lighter reciprocating parts do nice things to power delivery. The K-75 pistons need to be dressed a little to fit the K-100 cylinder head.
